additional variable mass transfer in CFX5.6

Hi, All

I have one question about setting additional variable mass transfer in CFX5.6. Hope to get your help as soon as possible.

This is a two phase (gas and water) problem. There is a soluble component (A) in gas phase. I want to model the mass transfer of A from gas to water. I set two additional variables for A in each phase and try to set mass transfer of the additional variable pair in fluid pair panel.

My question is: it looks like there is only ¡®additional variable transfer coefficient¡¯ option in that panel. I did not find other options for inputting total source of mass transfer or mass transfer flux.

Assuming: source=density*interphase transfer coefficient *(saturation mass fraction of A in water- actual mass fraction of A in water), in which saturation mass fraction of A in water can be calculated by Herry's law. How can I input this source term in CFX-pre?

Thanks!

John

Put a source term into the AV equation, equal and opposite in both phases. Calculate the volumetric source of your AV in CEL as per your equation and enter the source term as a CEL variable.
