inlet and outlet boundary condition of pump

hi when i define inlet boundary as a total pressure, can i assume velocity at inlet = 0? then use atmosphere pressure.

if we design pump from head and capacity, How can we calculate static pressure at outlet?

I alway have a confuse with boundary condition of turbomachinery. If you have an CFX experience with turbomachinery, please let me know.

regards P.s I want to use BC: mass flow at inlet and static pressure at outlet or total pressure at inlet and mass flow at outlet.
