Re: Expert parameter

Hello,

To my knowledge, there is no library for expert parameter in CFX 5.6. The expert parameters are the user defined functions and these are problem specific. The way of defining expert parameters can be understood from tutorials given in the documentation (eg.Reacting Flow). To define the expert parameters for your specific problem, needs, theoretical knowledge about the processes to be modeled and the defnition of the various functions involved in your problem of interest.

Hi,

There is a list of the commonly used expert parameters in the documentation. Used the master index to find it. There are expert parameters not listed in the documentation, but I don't recommend you use any of those unless you know exactly what it does - which generally involves talking to your CFX support rep.

Those parameters not listed on the documentation can be found on the $CFX_ROOT/etc/CFX5RULES file.

In case of CFX 5.6 on windows this can be found in $CFX_ROOT/etc/5.6/RULES (in the end of file). (on linux we have $CFX_ROOT\etc\5.6\RULES file)

Most of these are documented. If not, it was an oversight.

There are many many more undocumented ones that don't matter 99% of the time.
