hello everone
I use CFX TBR-FT method to solve a Fan inlet distortion question,it contains a 360° stationary domain, and two rotating passage. The distortion use a 180° subdomain momentum source loss model to simulate a 180° total pressure distortion. But in the result, at the rotor stator face the distortion doesnot transmit to rotor domain,I donot know where is wrong, I wish your help, thanks! |

In this type of model, the distortion profile should be rotating, otherwise the stationary parts will be always exposed same part of the distortion profile. First you need to run this case as full wheel steady with frozen rotor interfaces. Than extract the distortion profile at fan inlet. Second, in TBR simulation, initialize this profile and create a rotating coordinate frame same as rotor speed. Assign the inlet with this distortion profile and rotating coordiante frame.
