Hi

I am trying to import an ICEM Mesh on the workbench platform to CFX and there when I import the ICEM Mesh in CFX it shows some 2D primitive surfaces apart from my named surfaces /parts which I did in the ICEM during my mesh generation. Also when I create the domain in CFX it shows one as Assembly and other as created material for the same geometry which I imported. Can someone tell me what could be wrong ?
Or what should I do with the 2D primitive surfaces ? This is seen when I am trying to give the boundary condition for the named parts.

Then second problem is when I load the ICEM mesh and try to save it as CFX mesh its showing problem like save boco file etc. And what exactly is this boco file and do I need this boco file to import in CFX ? or just the CFX5 file is enough ?

Gert-Jan will become famous soon enough
1) Mostly nothing is wrong. Pre imports the named surfaces and splits them into primitives which are copies of the named surfaces. When the named surface are just what you want, you can just ignore the primitives. However, you can also use the primitives to setup your case in Pre. This gives you some flexibility with out a remesh...

2) a cfx5-file is always enough.
