INLET BOUNDARY FOR BUBBLE COLUMN

hello all,

My name is swarnendu, I am a new user of CFX, I am modelling Bubble column as a initial excercise. now the problem I am facing is in giving the Inlet BC. the superfical gas velocity through the column is 20 mm/s, and dia of column is 150 mm. the sparger is a 3mm single hole sparger. now the inlet velocity at the hole(which volumetric flow rate/hole area) is coming too high 50 m/sec, and now when I specify the gas holdup at the inlet(0.5) the value goes to 100 m/sec to make the volume consistent. I am not understanding how to deal with this. I am specifying Degassing at the outlet, but after certain iteration it is placing wall at the outlet to prevent the liquid coming in. can any body help me, and give me some suggestion about specifying inlet boundary condition. with regards, swarnendu
