Default Monitor Point/Polyline

Dear All, I followed recently some postings on Monitor Objects, I wonder if it will not be easier to use polyline to obtain certain physical quantities that one may desire. I am not sure if the intent of monitor points is to store the information at those coordinates or to 'monitor' them for whatever reason. Is there a good way to obtain physical quantities from CFX for later plotting or comparison to experiments ?

Hi,

You can only use polylines to extract data in CFX-Post, that is post-processing. You can define as many monitor points as you like and extract data during the simulation if you wish to, but they have to be defined as points or CEL expressions.

Either of these methods are useful for extracting data to compare to experiments.
