Transient Simulation in CFX

Hello,

I have a fundamental question about transient simulation in CFX.

Let’s assume I want to perform transient blood flow simulation in an artery over one cardiac cycle.

Simulation (1). As per the conventional transient CFD, I setup my model and run the transient simulation. For post-processing I divide the cardiac cycle into 6 time fractions and calculate the time-averaged haemodynamic parameters in each fraction (please see the attached image).

Simulation (2). Now I want to repeat the same simulation but using a different approach. I split the transient simulation into 6 separate transient simulations and calculate the time-averaged haemodynamic parameters for each simulation.

What difference should I expect to see in the corresponding time-averaged haemodynamic parameters derived from Simulation (1) and Simulation (2).

Thanks

The image was not attached. But please think carefully about your question - is it answerable? From what I have seen so far it is not answerable. If your images define the different approaches you talk about then consider whether your question will require expert knowledge of cardiac modelling to answer - again, this is not answerable (at least on the forum).
