How to simulate stirred tanks

Dear Respected Expert Users,

I want to simulate a stirred vessel using CFX-5.7. I have drawn a vessel (basically a circular cylinder) and a propeller type stirred using SolidWorks. Please tell me how to put the stirrer inside the vessel and import it to CFX-Pre to define two domains. Should also I need to define any event for sliding meshes like STAR-CD? I had some experiences using MixPert of STAR-CD.

Please give some guide in this regard.

Regards,

Work through the relevant CFX 5.7 tut that deals with stirred reactors.

Re: How to simulate stirred tanks

But the tutorial (Tutorial 15- Multiphase flow in a mixing vessel) reads two files (MixerTank.geo and MixerImpeller.def), one of which is a CFX-4 file and another is a definition file. I need to know how this type of simulation could be done using IGES imports, mesing and then import to CFX-Pre. What are the steps to be performed before importing to CFX-Pre?.

Please Help.
