Hello All, A while back, while running CFX-5.5.1, I made the following modifications to my *.def, running an LES model. INITIALISATION :
Option = Automatic INITIAL CONDITIONS : Velocity Type = Cartesian CARTESIAN VELOCITY COMPONENTS : Option = Automatic with Value U = Invelpro(y) V = 0 [m s^-1] W = 0 [m s^-1] Fluctuation level = 0.1 END ... SOLVER CONTROL : ADVECTION SCHEME : Option = Central Difference VELOCITY PRESSURE COUPLING : Lag Transient Term = true END END END However, while running CFX5.6, I got this error message Error: Parameter 'fluctuation level' not allowed in CARTESIAN VE- | | LOCITY COMPONENTS: at line 220 If its not allowed here, where is it allowed ? |

It's case sensitive. I think you'll find that 'Fluctuation Level' should work.

Ogbeni,
Try Velocity Fluctuation instead of Level. I think it was changed in 5.6. Regards, |
