Fully Developed Boundary Condition at Duct Inlet

Hi everyone,

I try to impose a fully-developed turbulent boundary condition at a duct inlet. Is the 1/7-power-low velocity profile as in CFX tutorial 9 a proper approximation? What are other popular power-low velcity profile expressions? And how can I get the K and epsilon inlet profile if the k-e turbulence model was adopted?

Thanks, Twiti

Re: Fully Developed Boundary Condition at Duct Inl

You can easily specify your own inlet profile in CFX5.7. See the profile boundary condition (under solver theory if I'm right) in the user manual for details. Good luck, TB
