CFX 5.5.1 Streamline Plot

Hi CFX users, I'm trying to plot streamlines for my air domain which is rectangular in shape of approx. dimensions 80X12X2 mm with inlet located at one long end and outlet at other. Problem I'm having is that, CFX is plotting too dense streamlines. I played with the limits a lot and that doesn't seem to make much difference. I will appreciate any suggesitions. Thank you, - Satchit

You should not select the all body domain to plot streamlines! You should select the inlet BC (or other interested section) as the source to create the streamline (there're three option: forware/backward/bi-direc.)! Just try it, you will know it! (even you can create a line or point, and plot a stream line from this line or point)

And also, there's still a dense-adjusting factor(Reduction), if you set it to be 2, then the lines will be half of original ones.

Hi Kiddo, Thanks a lot. I was defining a plane in my domain and taking streamline plot on that. But your suggestion of defining a point and taking streamlines from that is really helpful. Thank you. - Satchit P. Panse
