Hi all,
could anyone explain me the difference that stands between "f" and "t" setting for field "transient initialisation override" inside the "Solver/Exper Parameters/Physical Models/Miscellaneous"?

Thanks in advance.

Have a look in the CFX-Solver modeling guide. All the expert parameters are listed in there.
f is false, t in true.

Expert Parameter: Transient initialisation override

Type: logical
Default value: f
Description: When set to 't', enables solver default values to be used for initializationin a transient simulation.

It's wierd that they spell "initialization" two different ways in their own documentation.
"s" is the British English spelling
"z" is the U.S. English spelling

thanks a lot evcelica! what does the term "logic" refer? do you know by chance which could be the difference of parameter settings between f and t?

Opaque will become famous soon enough

I'm guessing with the default value of "f", it won't start a transient simulation unless you provide initial conditions.
If it is set to "t", it will automatically assign initial conditions.

I can see why the default is "f", it is a reminder to correctly set your initial conditions. It would be pretty lazy to not make an educated guess and just let the solver assign something (in most cases.)
