2D mesh by ANSYS Workbench 8.1
 

Dear all Gurus

In the Ansys Workbench 8.1 at the generate CFX- mesh part, after the mane of 2D regions were specified and I would like to create the 2D meash. In order to make this 2D mesh, I know that the following procedure must be done first. : Mesh > Options > Meshing Strategy > Chang Advanced Front and Inflation to Extruded 2D mesh.

Unfortunately, I did not see the Options > Meshing Strategy > Chang Advanced Front and Inflation to Extruded 2D mesh, in my Tree view. Where is this procedure? Especially at the step Meshing Strategy, Where is it? or I did something wrong. Please point me the way and give me the comments as well as the suggestion to create 2D mesh.

Hi,

I have my monitor display set to a high resolution and large fonts. This changes the way some dialog boxes are displayed, and I remember the Extruded 2D mesh combo box only shows one option, so the Extruded 2D mesh option is not visible. The work-around is to use the up and down toggles to flick between the options.

I've been told that the Extruded 2D Mesh Option is NEW for ANSYS 9 Workbench. It is NOT available in ANSYS 8.1 Sorry! I have 8.1 and it doesn't have the Extruded 2D Mesh Option. You aren't missing anything because you don't have it.
