I got error message when changing the timestep in transient simulation:

ERROR #001100279 has occurred in subroutine ErrAction. Message: Dynamic CCL reread is not currently supported for transient simulations. The run will continue without modification.

Can somebody help me in this regard? thanks in advance... houman

Hi,

Just as the message says, editting of a transient run in progress is not supported. If you want to change the timestep of a transient run you have to either set it up before using CEL or fortran; or stop the run, make the change and restart.

Adaptive timestepping is coming in CFX 5.8. It should be released in the next few months. Hopefully that should help you.

Hi Glenn, thanks for your notice. I have another simple question: is it possible to stop a transient run at the e.g. 5th min. (then change the timestep) and restart it from the rest (and not form 0th min), if yes, pls let me know how?

Regards, houman

Hi,

Yes, you can do that. As long as your variable initialation is set to "automatic" or "automatic with value" and you use the first run as the initial condition, it will then continue the simulation from where the first one stopped.
