Hi

I'm using ICEM 5.0 and 5.1 to mesh a ring of rectangular cross section with hexa, but I have some problems. Does someone know a trick for the blocking strategy as the blocks can only be square or rectangle?

Thanks for help Thomas

Hi,

Yep, you should be able to get a really nice grid if you make an 0-grid with the centre square removed and map the remaining outer and inner o-grid edges the the ring edges.

Not sure if this makes much sense!
