HELP:motor admission problem

Hi i would like to simulate the admission in a cylinder and the compression of gazes using mesh deformation. the piston and the valve move very well but i can't close totally the valve because of conservation of topology (i can't use different meshes because i don't have the Compaq compiler CVF). i need help to totally close the valve in order to simulate the compression. thanks

Hi,

You have two main options with CFX: 1) The next version of CFX will have some tolerance of zero volume elements. You may be able to fully close the valves when it comes out. I have done a quick trial of it on the beta version and it did not work for me, but maybe with a bit of planning you might get it to work.

2) Use a GGI interface and slide it shut.
