Hello,
I would like to extract plane data for every single time step from my transient simulation. Since I have thousands of time steps, I am looking for something scriptable. Cheers, Cyln |

CFD-Post is scriptable using session files. Record a session file and have a look at it, it is just a text file with a reasonably obvious syntax. You can add looping and structures using perl.

Depending on what you are looking for, it might be possible to add a monitor point. You will need a region for that, though.

Just ahve a look here.
http://www.cfd-online.com/Forums/cfx...tml#post385850 It is a perl script for extracting time series of scalars/points from a .res file. Just replace the "points" definitions by your plane definition and adjust the variables to be printed. |
