CAVITATION!

Hi; How is the capability of TASK-flow to model cavitation. Fluent6.1 apply an accurate cavitation model but very difficult to get a numerical convergency. For example we can not get a converged solution to model cavitation in separation zone of a backward step. Or we can not include noncondensable gas injection in cavitation model. We can only include water liquid and water vapor!!! thank you. ROOZBEH

Re: CAVITATION!

TASCflow can model cavitation quite well, I've seen some good results. However, unless you already have TASCflow then you look at CFX-5 instead since TASCflow isn't developed anymore. Cavitation in CFX-5 is very similar to TASCflow. If you go to www.ansys.com/corporate/locations.asp you could ask your nearest office for some papers or examples of results. Mike
