mesh deformation in transient run

Hi, everybody. I'm using CFX5.7.1 for analyzing a flow of a gear pump. In this case, I use transient run and mesh deformation. But, I have a problem. I wonder how many degrees should I move a rotating gear per one timestep.

Thank you for your reading and helping.

Re: mesh deformation in transient run

Hi,

That is case-dependant so it is not possible to generalise. Do a time step size dependancy check and work it out for your case.
