I am using CFX5.7.1 and simulating a stirred vessel. I am intending to model a transient problem with a tracer input. First, I tried a steady state problem and I achieved the desired convergence. However, when I simulated a transient problem(tracer input), I can not achieve the convergence anymore and I had "fatal overflow" error. What is the problem? Any one can help me out? Thanks in advance!

Hi,
The fatal overflow means it has diverged for some reason. Check that your boundary conditions and physical models are valid. There has been an extensive discussion about using tracers in simulations, have a look at this thread: http://www.cfd-online.com/Forum/cfx.cgi?read=11492 Regards, Glenn |
