Free surface height v/s time

Hi all, I am working on a two phase free surface flow problem. I have a query regarding the output of interface in transient problem. I can track the free surface via plotting of contours in CFX-Post at various times. Now i wish to plot the height of free surface from Volume fraction data and other data. How can i plot free surface height(m) at particular point (say x = 5) v/s time ? Thanks,

Ashish

Hi ashish,

I am not sure whether you can plot it.. but can you please try by defining one variable in post whose value will be liq vol fraction=0.5. If you can define that then you should be able to track the height of interface with time..

Think about writting an expression for getting liq vol fr=0.5

Hi tuks, Thanks for reply. I was able to solve the problem. It is possible to track the transient free surface in CFX. Regards, Ashish
