Hi Everyone,

I was wondering if someone could explain the functionality provided by the following two license keys:
  • acfx_parallel (provided as part of the basic capability solver) and
acfx_par_proc (apparently part of the parallel computing pack)

Many thanks

Paul

Hi,

I think the acfx_parallel key activates the parallel processing stuff, that is you need one of these per parallel run you wish to run simultaneously; and the acfx_par_proc key is the one which defines the amount of nodes you can use between all your parallel simulations.

Thanks Glenn,

That makes sense, and ties in with the error messages we've been getting.

Regards

Paul

To run in parallel you need

1 solver license + whatever modules the physics demands 1 no_limit license 1 pararallel license n par_proc, where n is the number of partitions (minimum of 2)
