Default ANSYS license message

Hi,

I am using CFX 5.7.1 and the license is due to expire in 30days. Hence everytime I open any of CFX products, an ANSYS license message pops up, stating that the license is due to expire in ...days. The application will only start once I hit the OK button. Now I need to use the solver in batch mode and this wont start until I hit the OK button. The first run will go through as I am present, but what about the others when I am not. Any methods to avoid this message apart from getting the new license?

Regards, Santhosh

Yeah, these messages occur only in M$-Windows. That might exist (at least it should exist) some environment variable that controls such annoying messages but I'm also interested in that.

Hi,

if you have a little experience in programming you can build a small program that periodically looks for Ansys license popup windows and sends them a closure message (you just have to set a timer and to check the names of open windows). Since I don't have Administrator privileges on my computer, I couldn't find an easier way to get rid of those messages.

I hope you'll find it useful...

ciao

Thanks,

This problem was solved with the help of Tech Support, just need to add an environment variable and that would get you through to 7 days before the license expires.

And would you share this environment variable with us?
