Hi,
Since I have done an unsteady state simulation, I want to draw some charts to show the change of some parameters (e.g. energy source, temperature, Pressure,....) along the time, i.e. the X axis is time and Y axis is Temperature or pressure,..... But I don't know How. in CFX, in solid domain, I wrote an expression for heat source in which the heat source is a function of time. Now in CFD-post I want to draw a chart of it as a function of time. I defined a variable called "power" and its is expression is the same expression that was defined in Pre CFX. But I still clouldn't draw a chart. Any ideas? Many thanks Hamda |

You'd better create a monitor in Pre to monitor the value of your expression during the solving process. Much easier.
Now, in Post, you are looking at the result of the final timestep of the whole transient simulation. This file has no history. It is a snap shot. This results file has links to intermediate results (trn-files), if you, beforehand, told CFX to save these. If so, you can load these trn files and recreate the heat source afterwards. But that can be hassle. |

Thank you for your response. well I wanted to create a monitor in Pre but I don't know how. I know how to create a monitor in fluent but in Pre no. I'll really appreciate if you guide me on this issue. Many thanks |

Output Control > Monitor> Option > Expression
Click on the sqrt(Alfa) sign to get a blank field. Then use your RMB to get several options which will guide you to your CEL expressions. |
