two phase flow modelling

hi, im modeling a two phase flow on a nuclear reactor but i have some problems with the convergence, i never reach a solution. How can I model 2 phase boiling in cfx? im now using the particle model, water as continous and vapor as dispersed; k-e turbulence model and density difference buoyancy. any ideas?

Re: two phase flow modelling

Hallo carlos,

Are you using Seady State settings?! if yes, then maybe you better switch to Transient settings, because it is possibly the case that your system is not steady state, therefore can not be converged... of course then you have to choose a time step which is case sensitive and try transient simulations... best regards, houman
