Hello, I would like to perform a fluid-structural analysis. I have both cfx and ANSYS FEA, but I can't get FE modeler into the workbench environment! Could anyone please help me?

Thanks, Chris

Hi Rajit, Many thanks for your reply. I was away from work and wasn't able to reply back soon, sorry.

My problem is, I have both CFX and FEA on my system. I can't get ANSYS Structural (FEA) into the workbench environment. I did contact the ANSYS people, they said I should have ANSYS 10 to get this, but I have only ANSYS 9.

Now, I want to apply the CFX results as loads in the FEA to do the structural part. How can I couple this two? Please tell me how can I import CFX results in the ANSYS structural? I look forward for your reply. Thanks.

Sincerely, Chris.

Iam sorry mate.i was on site for the past 2 weeks.iam pretty sure you can bring the CFX results as loads into the structural module.

if you hav CFX support there is a specific tutorial or example on this which i have seen.

I have done it 1 yrs ago iam not sure.if iam right there is an option in CFX-post called file-export and then select the region of interest.if iam right you can import the loads in the ansys.just try this i will try to collect information regarding this.

thanks Rajit
