Default ICEM: ORFN elements

Hi. I'm confused with this kind of error: "Error : mesh contains ORFN elements. Interace exits due to invalid mesh. child process exited abnormally" This happens when I apply blk-file, which was saved in the same geometric domain except different AOA for airfoil. I can't see any errors or holes in pre-mesh, but when I convert multiblock mesh to unstructed, then try to save mesh as ansys-cfx, during saving I receive this message. These orphan elements saved as "ORFN" part. Either this checked or unchecked (visible or invisible), i can't see any difference in model

You should probably send this to your support contacts. Once you convert to unstructured - try Edit Mesh > Check Mesh. Or - see if you have any elements in ORFN. (Info - Mesh Info)

Restart ICEM with the same file. Will this happen again? If it does, then try deleting the ORFN "permanently". If you're using tet mesh, then it shouldn't be hard to remesh the whole thing & see if the problem is exist. Good luck.

This normally happens when you use a pre-defined "blk" file for a new geometry file in ICEM. When you have geometry & block files open in ICEM windows, try associating edges to curves & vertices to points again. This shall work.

Good luck.
