TRANSITION TO TURBOLENCE IS ALSO CALLED BUFFER ZONE. REFERENCING TO THE BOUNDARY LAYER FORMATION OVER A FLAT, YOU KNOW THAT IN THE TURBULENCE ZONE THERE IS A THIN LAYER NEAR THE WALL CALLED LAMINAR SUB LAYER. BETWEEN THE TURBULENT BOUNDARY LAYER AND THE LAMINAR ONE, THERE IS THE BUFFER LAYER. THIS IS THE TRANSITION. VERY DIFFICULT TO MODELL. SEE ALSO THE LAST RELEASE OF CFX: MODEL LES
