How to set the transitional turbulence for blades

hi everyone, I am working on my graduate work and i need a little help.

I modeled a case for analysis of helicopter rotor blades coefficients such as Cp, Ct,Cl.I am using naca0012 airfoil for blades.

I create a fluid domain with general opts: air ideal gas, 1 atm of reference pressure, rotating motion with y axis.

fluid models: heat trans. mod.-> total energy turbulence model -> SST

Now, I want to know if I must have chosen any box in the advanced model control frame.

Moreover, how I set the transitional turbulence model.

I will be glad if who had any experiments with helicopter blades or master of cfd advices me.

happy new year

what have you set for your simulation type?

If you are using ANSYS CFX 10, transition model can be turned on at the place where you select SST model. In CFX 5.7, you have to use CCL to access this model. By the way, a special license key is needed.

Hi Andy, I set steady-state for simulation and i am using CFX 5.7.1. Essentially I could run solver and then could adjust needed changes but i have nearly one million grid elements so that is very expensive for me.
