Hi, i want to simulate a steady free air jet with CFX 5.6. I defined the problem as axisymetric laminar and steady state. The Re is about 20.

But i have problems wiht the size of my domain.

The vortex in the flow is moving when I increase the domain more and more.

As outlet boundary condition i have average static pressure=0.

Does anybody know what the problem could be? Thanx

Hi,

I don't know if this will help you, but on the CFX-Community web site there is this paper (FREE SURFACE FLOW MODELLING OF AN IMPINGING JET): http://www-waterloo.ansys.com/commun...3-030AB43CEEBB
