patching in cfx

Hi

How do we initilize a part of the domain? I have a rectangular domain with air and water.I want to initilize the bottom part of the domain with water and the top with air.

I have been working on fluent and have recently shifted to cfx. In fluent there is a option of patching, using which we can select a part of the domain and then initilize it. Is there any similar feature in cfx?

Thanks

Manoj

Take a look at the tutorial "Free Surface Flow over a Bump", this does a similar thing. Basically you set up a step function expression for the Volume Fraction of Air and Water. M
