Multiphase model

Hi,

I want to simulate the forming of a glass bottle inside a mold. I want to use a VOF model. Does anyone have advice on using a homogeneous or inhomogeneous model? In the inhomogeneous case how do you set up a sensible Drag coefficient? Furthermore, what about the morphology of the material what would you set to glass and what to air? Continuos fluid for both? Or dispersed fluid?

To be honest, I would not use CFX for this but e.g. Moldflow.

Instead in CFX how would you set this problem?

Ignoring the fact that CFX is not ideal for this simulation.....

My understanding of glass blowing is that the glass has a coherent free surface interface for the entire process, so no bubbles, foam or mist. In this case a homogenous free surface model should be suitable. This means drag coefficients are not required.

For tips on how to set up a free surface simulation look at the CFX tutorial examples. "Free surface flow over a bump" is the relevant here I think.
