Modelling Superheater tubes
Hii friends, i ahve to model superheater tube bundles in a steam furnace considcering the radiation view factors also.i already have the combustion analysis of flue gases inside the furnace. i am unable to conceptualize the design of the superheaters inside the furnace. i need to design atleast 4 tubes to study the effect of high temp on the steam flow. How shal i incorporate the tubes inside the furnace model in Ansys ICEM, also during analysis using CFX 5.7 i am not able to understand how to consider the domain and sub domains in the model.
Kindly help |
Re: Modelling Superheater tubes
Create tubes using cylindrical surfaces without considering thickness. While specifying mesh parameters, tick on "internal wall" & "split wall". Create two different bodies, one representing fluid in furnace & other representing fluid in tubes.
Thus you should be able to model & mesh your domains. Only doubt I have is, how will you create two different domains in CFX representing two different fluids? Kind regards, Chirag |
