Default Problems with choosing boundary on inflation

Hi, I am trying to create an inflation between a outer surface of a rocket and an inner surface of a thin cylinder around it. However I can only choose an edge, not even of the cylinder but of the rocket, instead of the inner face of the cylinder. I tried both of the scoping methods.
For geometry selection, it seems only the edges of the rocket can be selected.
For named selections, I can't access any of the selections I have made.
I'm currently using cfx meshing(ansys academic teaching and cfd). How can I fix this? Or is there any problems with the geometry itself?

1. Looks like your thread is in the wrong forum. You should ask such questions in ANSYS Meshing forum.

2. When your scoping object for inflation is surface, you can only select edges as inflation boundaries. Select a body as a scoping object to be able to select surfaces as inflation boundaries.

When setting inflation layers you can
either chose geometry and boundary like this:

body->faces

or

surface -> edges

since you have selected faces of the rocket as geometry than this is what is wrong.
You probably want to select your volume domain as geometry than select faces of the rocket as inflation boundary.
The boundary is where the layers will be located

surface -> edges option is mostly used when you are sweeping the mesh, so you mesh a face than sweep it into the third dimension
so in your case, you probably want to use body->faces option
