Re: no slip, free slip ?????????

No slip is a normal wall with a boundary layer. Free slip is a non-realistic wall with no friction that's basically just the end of your simulation domain or something. /C

Free slip is when the velocity near the walls are not retarded

thanks for replying, but do you mean free slip- as velocity=0 at the walls(i.e.,inviscid flow)?? no slip- viscous flow??

Hi Vijesh,

Free slip-no boundary layer formation no slip-boundary layer formation

My kind advice to you is to go through the notes in CFX before you proceed any further.

Thanks Rajit
