Edge of mesh

Hi,
I am using icemcfd create tet mesh. I found that the nodes near the surface edge sometime create another edge. In another words, the nodes are not on the real suface edges. There is another line very close to the edge. How can I solve this problem? Thanks in advance. |

Also sometimes the mesh at the edge is normal to the surface.

Scroll down a bit on the page, there is an old discussion on this topic.

Generally the answer would be to make sure you have geometry curves at all sharp edges you wish to capture with mesh, and points at all corners you with to capture with mesh. Geometry > Repair > Build Diagnostic Topology with the filters for points and curves turned on does a pretty good job of this.
If you still have problems after getting the correct set of curves and points capturing only 'hard' features - you probably have geometry problems where the surfaces don't match nicely. |

Thanks.
Yes. You are right. I have problems on geometry. |
