Hello!

I encountered some problems in CFX.

First, I don't know exactly to set the opening conditions in cfx.

I want to simulate the cask that has heat source in the inner in the air and i want to see the heat transfer and velocity profiles near the cask outer.

So, in bottom of air domain, I set the wall condition.

And then, I set the opening conditions to side and top face of the air domain.

But, I don't know how to set details of opening conditions...

I use buoyancy model and I used following setting;

In opening condition details..
Mass and momentum - opening pressure and direction, Ref. Pressure : 0
Heat transfer - static temperature
Flow direction - I don' remember..
Thermal radiation - local temperature

In the air domain, there is no wind. just steady state.

How can i set the opening conditions for steady state air domain?
And what's means flow direction?

Those questions are all dealt with in the CFX tutorials. Go to the ANSYS customer website (or the student portal if you are a student) and do the tutorial examples. They show you how to use the basics of the software.
