Solver crashes only while writing a bak file

I am solving a multiphase simulation.

The solver crashes only when a bak file is being written with the error "Fatal bounds error: Absolute Pressure" Even if I try stopping the solver, it crashes with the same error.

The exact error can be seen in the following link: http://tp-txdp4281.content-type.com/.../Bak+error.JPG

So, if no bak file is specified or the "backup run" button is not used or the run is not stopped, the Solver continues to run normally without any error messages.

Is this got to do something with memory allocation. OS is Linux. This problem occurs only for this particular simulation.

Regards, hagupta

Hi,

It sounds like the error is caused in the fatal bounds error. I am not sure what that means, it could be something like a negative absolute pressure (which is not possible) leading to problems calculating some variables. I would check the simulation is not diverging and giving non-physical pressures.
