Default Residues for volume fraction

Hi,all, I am dealing with a gas-liquid flow system and using CFX 10. The simulation has been run for thousands of iterations. The residues of velocities and pressure are fine, around 10^-4. However, the residues of two volume fractions are pretty high(MAX res higher than 10^-1). Anyone has an idea of what caused this.

Thanks in advance!
