Hi, I am using CFX 10 for my fan problem. Fan axis is not laying on global origin. At the time of setting preprocessor I used two point method to define axis of rotation. In the post processing I do not know how to get fan torque(Fan is offset from the origin). Can any one help me?

Dear svr,

You should be able to create a local coordinate frame in CFX-Post, and then request the via the full syntax :

torque_[Axis]_[Coord Frame]@[Boundary]

It is described in the CFX-Post documentation.. This syntax is not available in the ANSYS CFX solver for 10.0..

Good luck, Opaque..

Thanks Opaque. I am working on low noise fan design using CFX 10 and sysnoise. Do anyone have idea about noise prediction accuracy in CFX 10 and this combination.
