Dear CFD professionals;

In, CFX-CFD-Post - Timestep Selector:

There is 2000 Loaded Timestep with movement but no visualization on the plane at all. (No color- Contour doesn't work on the plane)

Just the final one (2001) has both movements and visual shapes in color on the plane! (Contour on the plane working)

What is the solution to have colored planes (Contour on the plane) for the other 800 timesteps?

Best Regards,

Martin

The results shown in cfd post are just the values that are saved during the simulation. The final step will be a .res file containing the standard variables written out by the solver.
Other timesteps in the timestep selector should only be available if you wrote some intermediate results. In a transient simulation, these would be .trn files which are saved in a subfolder of the simulation folder. Now if you can access another time step in post but do not see the desired contours, your intermediate .trn file does not contain these values and therefore cfd post cannot display them. You need to check in your simulation setup what values you write to your intermediate files.

Hi

Thanks for your answer!

I selected every Timestep and after the run, I had just answers for the last timestep.

According to the pictures please reflect your idea! Especially for the options in Trn.

Best Regards,
Martin

As it says, your intermediate results are partial. Are you sure you selected all the variables you need for your contour plot?
In your last images "Output variables list". Check these.

Dear AtoHM

Yes, it is partial. (In the other projects when it is partial it works)

I'm sure that the selection for the last picture was done!

Please check the new picture. Is it the reason or not? (how can I repair them?)

If not how can I make colored contour planes for others?

Afaik this is just a warning and can be ignored, I don't know about the beta feature, though. Never seen that.

What variables are you trying to show on your contour?

It solved!!!

Velocity is right not Vorticity!!!!

Dictation problem!

Because the fonts are small and I use my tiny small laptop!

Thank you so much!

Your last question helped so much!

Happy Easter and have a nice day!
