Hi friends..I am simulating the flow over a wedge shaped body using Ansys-CFX. The flow over the wedge is being Hypersonic(M5.75). I am neglecting viscous terms in the energy equation. I made the as blunt body with nose radii of 20, 40, 60, 80 mm one after the other. Now I was expecting the temperature on the surface of the wedge with sharp tip should be more than any other geometry. WHAT I HAVE TO COMPARE IN ORDER TO CONCLUDE THAT, BLUNT BODIES WILL EXPERIENCE LESS HEAT THAN SHARP TIP WEDGE BODIES??? Plz help me. Regards VVJ.
