cfx-solver--->tool--->expot--->cgns in tecplot, import--->cgns, done.

i output cgns in CFX10.0,and i used tecplot9.0 for importing it, but a error come out: file error:file not found or invalid CGNS format.

is that cfx10 and tecplot9 the problem,or sthelse???

tecplot 9 always has trouble to import CFX's cgns file. You can use Tecplot 10. BTW: I also have found Tecplot 10 sometimes has some trouble to import CFX10's cgns, but CFX 5.7 always produces good cgns files for tecplot 10. So if your tecplot 10 still can't import CFX10's cgns. try to use CFX5.7 solver to convert CFX10 result file to cgns. It will work for sure.

The last way to use tecplot analyzing CFX result is writing a code by yourself to process the CFX data file. In CFX-post, you export domain ASCII data and node connectivity information to files. If you are familiar with tecplot format, you can write a code to transfer data to tecplot format. I used to write one, but it made me headache. :(

forget one thing. Couple of earlier versions of Tecplot 10 also have some trouble to import cfx cgns file. Make sure you have sort of new tecplot 10 version, or you can use tecplot 360. Tecplot 360 has CFD analyzer included. Send email to tecplot company. They will give you a one month free trial of tecplot 360. It is a wonderful product.
