Hy everyone!
Does anyone have some information or hint about modelling of adsorption and desorption by ANSYS CFX ? I know that CFX does not have an implemented adsorption/desorption model but I would be interested how can I define expressions using source/sink feature. The surface desorption depends on the surface temperature, and initial concentration and I want to make a flow rate expression with this variables. On the attached model there is a cube filled with air initially and I want to simulate desorption on sphare surface while heating the whole cube from below. Thanks for help! P.S. : If I was not clear please ask, |

A simple model would be where absorption rate is a simple function of temperature is easy to implement as a mass source term on a boundary face. This should be easy to implement.
More complex models then transfer the absorbed material into an adjacent solid domain - and in this case you should probably implement it as a condition on the solid/fluid interface (not a source term). And there are many other ways to implement it depending on what you are trying to achieve.
