Good afternoon guys.
I am trying to simulate a stator for an organic Rankine cycle radial turbine, First I created the geometry using Solidworks and export it to Ansys workbench, I mesh the domain, define boundaries and all required specifications. However, when I run the simulation, the Mach number has an order of magnitude of 10^2, which is odd as results obtained considering only one of the stator nozzles are right (Mach number at the outlet of about 2). The simulation is 2D and as inlet and outlet boundary conditions I set the total relative pressure and static relative pressure respectively I have been thinking and must be related to the simulation setup. Kind Regards. Pablo |

If the maximum Mach number increases to unrealistic values your simulation is starting to diverge. You don't have a floating point error yet, but you soon will. This FAQ might help: https://www.cfd-online.com/Wiki/Ansy...do_about_it.3F
