Hi to everyone I'm an Italian student and i have to study a gear pump, for this study i want to use the mesh deformation, i had do the tutorial 20 but when i start cfx solver for my geometry it tells that can't read the file mesh .0 in the working directory. How can i create this kind of file? i have to use patran neutral mesh or i can use a mesh create with cfx pre mesh? Help me please.. Sorry for my bad English

Copy the mesh files from the totorial subdirectory in your CFX installation. This is clearly explained in the manual.

I am also having the same doubt. How can I create series of meshes, which will be used for MESH MAPPING. I heard that FORTRAN code is required to do so. But I am not sure.

Thanks in advance.

Me too. If any one have experience of mesh defromation in CFX, please share with us. I can do that easily in Fluent, for CFX, a lot of trouble. It do need Fortran code.

I'm also working on that. I'm using CFX 10 and as I know you can do a mesh deformation doing a mesh map using the junction box routine. But you need the FORTRAN to make the subroutine and read the meshes, and also to compile the subroutine that will be called by the junction box. This is the only thing I know.I'm trying to do a simulation of an Internal Combustion Engine. I know how it could be but i'm not able to make the subroutine which read the meshes. Please, if anyone knows something about this....tell me
