STATOR BLADE ORIENTATION

Dear Friends,

Currently, I am running various cases for an Axial Compressor (single) stage geometry (ROTOR and STATOR).

I have the HUB.curve / SHROUD.curve / PROFILE.curve files for the STATOR. I would like to change the stagger angle of the Stator by few degrees to study the effect only using the three curve files. Basically I need to change the stator angle by 2 / 5 / 10 (degrees) from its current orientation. How can I go about this?

Can I use Bladegen to do this?

I would be gratefull if any one could please let me know steps to be followed and points to be careful about.

Thanking you all in advance.

Kind regards, Arjun

Re: STATOR BLADE ORIENTATION

Hi Arjun,

If you are using Turbogrid to generate the mesh, you can specify an axis (as two points) about which to rotate the blade. To do so, edit the "Blade 1" object and click on the Transform tab. The rest should be ovious.

Regards, Robin

I believe it can be done with Bladegen (or Blademodeler). Bladegen can read turbogrid files.
