computational fluid dynamics

sir ,

I am graduate in production engg,& postgraduate in process metallurgy. i am intreasted in computational fluid dynamics. can i do this? What is the scope of CFD in future. thanks .

with regards amit

I got into Colourfull Fluid Dynamics because I like pretty pictures.

I am also process engg anc bachlors in chemcial. can i go to aerospace ???

Nothing impossible. However, for sure the process of change is very painful .

Well it is possible, I never did any course in CFD , i have chemical engg background, and yet I work in CFD field. And I know I understand it well.

Re: computational fluid dynamics

arent aerospace and chemical different. I am not talking about CFD. CFD is just for any engineer

Re: computational fluid dynamics

The point I wanted to make is one can work in any field if he can do self study. and has will to learn new things. I do many things for which I hardly done any course.

CFD is just for any engineer CFD is not just opening fancy GUI and clicking iterate button, its not just producing colorful pictures. Nothing is just for any engineer, one has to work hard to learn things, in any field.

I am tyring to get admission in aerospace but no univeristy is ready to give me admision on the basis of bachlors in chemical

Re: computational fluid dynamics

Working in an industry and getting admission in univ are different things, univs may have some rules to follow, industries work for profit and may not demand what univs want.

It's just like learning a second language. Some people will never be able to speak fluent. Other people may learn faster but most likely it is still a second language.

I have no doubt that there are alway some genious guys in this world who can speak several languages same as his native language.

Re: computational fluid dynamics

So you want to say cfd(for aerospace) is for me a second language. And If I am one in million then i would be good otherwise I should concentrate on my own field
