Hi CFX users,

I'm doing a valve movement simulation. Because it's movement is in a large range and it is driven by the flow, I should have moving mesh and remeshing, but I would use mesh reloading instead:

1. the solver outputs the exact position of the valve
2. the corresponding pre-generated mesh will be read onto the domain
3. the read-on mesh should be slightly deformed to the actual position of the valve
4. the valve moves further to the next same sequence with mesh deformation

The question is that can it be done? If yes, can you describe it shortly?

Thanks,
Attila

The tricky bit of this is to deform the mesh BEFORE you interpolate the flow field onto it. If you can do it without deforming the mesh before interpolation this is pretty easy.

Hi Glenn,

the main problem is exactly that I have to deform it, because I don't know the position of the valve. Could you suggest me where to start to find out how to deform a mesh after a key load of a pregenerated one?

Can you post an image of the motion you want to use?
